Here's a comparison of these two attractive pickups that you can get through Benson Ford Inc. in Easley, SC.
A comparison of engines and performance
The Ford Ranger mid-size pickup offers Greenville buyers both a 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 270 horsepower and a new twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 that's good for 315 horsepower. The new Ford Maverick compact pickup also offers two different powertrains. One is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower along with an eight-speed automatic and available all-wheel drive. The Maverick's hybrid powertrain is comprised of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine plus an electric motor for a combined 191 horsepower.
So both versions of the Ford Ranger give Piedmont drivers more horsepower than the smaller Ford Maverick. The Ford Ranger can reach 60 mph in 6.5 seconds while the smaller Ford Maverick with the optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine can hit the same milestone even faster, coming in at 5.9 seconds.
